Meet our Llewellin Setters!
Houdini’s Knightpoint Belle
Belle was born on February 9, 2018 and purchased from Houdini Llewellin Setters in Minnesota. She is a hard running setter with lots and lots of prey drive. Her grandsire is CH Arties Royal Mac, and her granddam is CH Teasel Wind’Em. She also has Highway Dan lineage and CH Shoeleather’s Tanner. Not only is Belle a FDSB certified Llewellin setter, we have also registered her with AKC, NAVHDA, and UKC. Through AKC, Belle has earned her Senior and Junior Hunt title, and passed the AKC water retrieve test. Through NAVDHA, she scored a 112/112 Prize One on her Natural Ability test. Belle also holds a TAN natural ability and a WRT water retrieve test through UKC. She loves the water, retrieves to hand, and has a great nose. She is a closer coated dog that also enjoys a trip to the brewery now and then.
Knight Point Luna Lu
Luna Lu is our pick from Belle’s first litter. She was born on July 8, 2021. Her sire is Daybreak Dashing Iron Bear out of Daybreak Llewellins in Michigan. The Belle and Bear breeding created beautiful and biddable pups. Luna has a beautiful tricolor medium coat. Not only is Luna a FDSB registered Llewellin Setter, she is registered with AKC and NAVHDA. Through AKC, Luna holds a Junior Hunt Title. We anticipate her to follow in her mother’s footsteps and become a bird finding machine.
Knight Point Mr. Oak
Oak was purchased from Gould’s Gun Dogs in Michigan. He was born on February 19, 2022. We are eager to see how Oak develops. If you have ever seen the show, Hunting with Hank, the star of the show, Henry Prince of Pause (Hank) is in Oak’s pedigree. Oak is a registered Llewellin Setter through FDSB. He is also registered with AKC and NAVHDA. Oak currently holds his Junior Hunt Title through AKC and scored a 108 through NAVHDA for Natural Ability.
Knight Point Maple Sue
Maple Sue was our pick from Belle’s 2022 litter. Maple was born on July 9th, 2022. Her sire is Daybreak Dashing Iron Bear out of Daybreak Llewellins in Michigan. Maple has a beautiful orange and white coat, lots of ticking and a symmetrical mask. Maple is a bird finding machine! Maple loves to swim, hunt, play in the snow and steal the recliners. We are excited for the potential this young pup has.
LuLu
LuLu was born in the summer of 2012 and was given to Joe. He had always wanted a Llewellin Setter after watching the Hunting with Hank and Dash in the Uplands shows back in high school. LuLu is the old maid of the house, but she still can produce birds. She has been through many hunting adventures, from chasing ringnecks in Iowa, quail in Kansas, to sage grouse in Wyoming. LuLu proved that Llewellins are the dog for Joe. Even in her advanced age, Lu has a great desire to chase pheasants, but when not in the field, she can usually be found on the couch or sleeping on Joe in his recliner.
